We recently moved to the Saint Cloud/Orlando area and had no idea whom to hire to complete a custom furniture project for our new home. We chose Palmer's Wood Designs purely by chance because we found the company through a random search for local custom cabinetmakers. What a wonderful experience it was dealing with Tom!!! He took our general ideas, refined them, and came up with a practical, beautiful design to meet our storage needs. He personally came to our home to take measurements and further refine the design, then made the most beautiful piece of furniture we've ever seen. His attention to detail, quality, and craftsmanship are beyond compare--the piece included 6 huge louvered doors, all of which he constructed with small, individually hand-made slats...a painstaking, labor-intensive endeavor, to be sure. His price was more than fair, especially given the labor-intensive effort required to construct the louvered doors and hand-stain the large piece. The project was completed on time and under budget. We highly, highly recommend using Palmer's Wood Designs for any cabinet/custom furniture needs you have.

Tom built three beautiful handcrafted built-ins for us. His work was top of the line just like his professionalism. We have moved and look forward to having him build more unique pieces in our new home.

Working with Tom was a pleasure!  I badly needed efficient office furniture. Tom listened to my wants and needs, inserted ideas and made excellent suggestions. My husband and I don't use the dishwasher that came with the home we bought.  We decided a cabinet would be more useful.  We contacted Tom and described the type of cabinet we wanted to replace the dishwasher space.  The cabinet is a two deep drawer, wheeled cabinet that rolls out to become a work island.  The craftsmanship is beautiful.  The cabinet is EXACTLY what we wanted and Tom was easy to work with.  We LOVE the cabinet.  Thank you Tom.

I could write a book about how happy we are with the entire experience with Tom.  He was so easy to work with from start to finish!  So concerned and capable to accomplish every quality detail ... Tom is a true master craftsman!  How refreshing to work with someone who does what they say, when they say, cares about their work and exceeds every expectation!  What a wonderful, stress free, fun experience this has been.  We are booking him for three more rooms....can't wait to be wowed on installation day again!

Beautiful, efficient new kitchen all at a great price!

We were on a tight budget and got quotes from the usual (Home Depot and Lowes) and were shocked at how high they were. We then looked into Ready to Assemble cabinets and almost purchased them. But with any of the above, we were going to have fillers and empty spaces as our measurements just weren't lining up with what they had to offer. We have such a small kitchen that we wanted to use every square inch available. Tom was incredible! He gave us lots of practical advice and helped us implement those little "custom" features we were hoping for! I was highly impressed with his vast knowledge of kitchen spaces and layouts. He walked us through the entire process and we now have GORGEOUS, truly CUSTOM cabinets that are simply beautiful. Our kitchen now gives us every possible storage space available and is so efficient. Everything is exactly where it needs to be. I LOVE my new kitchen! Tom's price was incredible as was his craftsmanship! I would highly recommend him to anyone.

We wanted to build a computer station, shelving and storage cabinets and file drawers to make one room in our new house an office. We also checked Home Depot and Lowes but just didn't feel comfortable with what they had to offer. We asked around and Tom was recommended. He came to our home and helped us with design suggestions. He personally built our custom, high-quality wood cabinets and installed them. He made brilliant suggestions that increased our storage in the same amount of space. Custom Kitchen Cabinets by Master Craftsman 

Palmer’s Wood Designs created, built and installed new kitchen cabinets for us in 2013.  We were looking at replacing our existing “builder grade” cabinets throughout our kitchen.  Palmer’s Wood Designs was recommended by a friend.  We contacted Tom and he came to the house to discuss what we were looking to accomplish.  He offered several suggestions that would enhance the beauty and make our new cabinets unique. He said he could have them built well within our timeframe and when we received the quote, found him to be very competitive with the prices we were looking at for non-custom cabinets!  We were very pleased with the entire process of selecting the wood, style and stain, working with him to make sure the finish was exactly what we were expecting, and coordinating the details of the installation.  The craftsmanship of the cabinets is second to none – he did a GREAT job!  He finished the job well within the timeframe and was even willing to wait until we were ready to have the cabinets installed if we ran into any delays.  The microwave we purchased has a top facing vent which required the microwave to be mounted about ¾” below the upper cabinet.  Tom made a custom recessed closure piece and installed it the same day to work around that feature.  We highly recommend Palmer’s Wood Designs for your project!  Our next project will be with Tom – a beautiful home office!
